Yesterday my friend @amandalinsmeier was talking about goals and that prompted me to sit down and put something together on what I want to accomplish in my writing life. Whew, turns out there's a lot. For each objective, I also listed what research or resources I may need as well as obstacles I might need to look out for. It was a great exercise. 📚 On another note, I may have gone a little too hard on these blueberries in my scones lol. I'm currently reading 2 books, the one pictured (non fiction) and the 3rd installment in The Loyal League. If you like historicals at all, definitely read that series by Alyssa Cole. 📚 As I mentioned yesterday, I've really been struggling with the direction of my #wip. It's sort of a Sliding Doors take on adoption so a friend suggested I watch the movie again. Another friend suggested research which this sort of is I suppose. Even though my story is soooo different, it really helped and actually reaffirmed the direction I'm headed. Thx A! I've seen this quote before and most recently as Monday motivation in a group I belong to. It's one I live by, maybe a little too much. When reading, I skip/skim almost all the descriptions and even action if it goes on too long. When writing, I have to force myself to slow down and add in a little meat on the bones. Anyone who knows me knows I lurve The Sheehan. I've been looking forward to The Umbrella Academy for well over a year. I've watched the series twice since it came out Friday. Surprisingly my favorite scene doesn't include Rob at all. SPOILERish although the actors talk about this scene in interviews. It's a dance scene between #1 and #3 and I can't get enough of it.
